I've really been slackin off.
Been meaning to type in some details of whats gone on but found myself being pretty lazy.
After sleeping in the park the first night, we said we would really get on top of things and book long ahead of time. After 5 days at billabong we went to the front desk to book another week. Well, they had already sold our beds, so we had 2 days to find another place to sleep. We called about thirty places trying to find something. Finally, the morning we had checked out of the Billabong, we found a place. Three beds, all in the same room. "VICTORY!"-Johnny Drama.
For the following nights, Matt and Drew had found a place with two beds vacant, and i got one at the Billabong again for a week. After that week is up, Matt, Drew, Chris and I, have a room for four at the Old Swan Barracks. We can stay as long as we want so that will probably be our home for the next while.
Tomorrow morning, Drew and I take our RSA, which means we can serve alcohal. Hopefully we can get a job in a bar or restraunt near by. Matt got his Blue Card which means he can work in construction. He went to work with Chris today.
Our newest best buds are Kyle, a Calgarian who must be a relative of Nick Buono, and Nick, a Kiwi. Kyle seems to have extra travel funds because the first night we went out with him, he bought 2 rounds of 8 jagerbombs. Nick on the other hand, has been sleeping in his van in the Billabong parking lot ever since he checked out of our room. He lasted 5 days, walking in like he lived here, using the kitchen, and hopping in freinds showers. Yesterday they caught him so he bought a night in. He's parked his van down the street now, but still comes by once the lady that caught him is off work.
We've been picking up on Nick's kiwi slang with words like 'jandels' which are thongs. He also uses the word keen more than anyone ive ever met. "You guys keen with gettin on the piss tonight?" Which would translate to: "Are you guys down with getting drunk tonight?" Other words, "true," "yee," and the ever so popular "sweet as."
